And hooooome~ Still some work to do today but I think I should be around more 8D
In the end, he was relieved when Dr. Roberts pronounced him physically sound and fit enough to stay the night, provided he went to the hospital first thing in the morning, which was all right with him. Part of him wanted the confirmation and assurance of the doctors there that this would be all right (even if he wasn't sure they could give him that), but not tonight. He was more worn out than he wanted to let on, and he didn't want to go anywhere else when things seemed to be getting better, not worse. So when Summer came downstairs and said the guest room was ready for him, he nodded gratefully, shaking her father's hand with words of genuine thanks.
Of course, he saw the way the man looked at them before he headed for bed, as if to say that they'd better behave themselves. He had to hold in a sigh - he was a guest in their home, of course, and he'd better damn well behave himself - and moved to take Summer's hand, fingers tangling with hers gently. "Thanks for getting it ready for me," he murmured, figuring at least a short kiss (or few) goodnight might be okay, in a moment. "I guess we'd better get some sleep."
Of course, he had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to sleep at all, no matter how exhausted he felt.
yayyy!
Her fingers of her free hand moved to comb through his hair, lovingly before she murmured, "Yeah, we better. You have to be exhausted." She figured he'd fall fast asleep but she wasn't sure she'd be able to sleep one wink.
\o/
:D
"I love you, Robert Leckie. I hope you sleep tight."
<333
He paused with his hand on the doorknob, leaning down for one more brief, quiet kiss. "You have a good night, sweetheart." And with that, he squeezed her fingers once more and slipped into the guest room, which was a very comfortable size with a very comfortable-looking bed. His stomach flipped - in the best of ways - when he thought about Summer getting it ready for him, and he pulled off his shoes, leaving them by the door, before he padded over to the bed. He didn't have any spare clothes here, so he stripped down to his boxers, draping his uniform carefully over a chair so it wouldn't be wrinkled in the morning. At least he could put it back on before he headed downstairs in the morning, and no one would care what he was sleeping in - he was tempted to sleep completely bare, but part of him said he'd done far worse than wear a pair of boxers twice in a row.
And so, with a deep sigh, he slid gratefully into the large, comfortable bed... and laid awake for what felt like hours but could have been only minutes, staring at the ceiling, unable to stop his mind from whirling in circles so fast it almost made him dizzy.
:D
But as she laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling, she felt restless, that same stomach twisting feeling settling over her, her mind buzzing with thoughts. After about an hour, she rolled onto her side, staring out the window, her eyes on the house that Leckie once lived in, memories coming back to her. Memories of her waving at him through their windows, memories of crying herself to sleep wishing he was in that very window instead across the world. And now he was just down the hall, having memories of his own once more.
She made a decision then and there as she slipped out of her bed, grabbing her robe to slip on, butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she tied it at her waist and pulled her hair down to tumble in waves at her shoulders. It was a little tricky but she managed to sneak out of her room without a peep, tip toe down the hallway and knock so quietly on his door, opening it without permission and slipping inside.
AND LOOK I have literally the perfect icon XD
But he had come back, even if it hadn't really felt true until tonight, until everything had come back to him. And things were still coming back, a near-constant stream until the soft knock on his door shook him out of it, startling him into a sitting position as he saw the door open just enough to allow someone small to slip inside. He almost looked at his watch again - it couldn't be morning, it was still dark, but he had no idea how long he'd really been lying here - and suddenly it didn't much matter. He didn't need to squint into the darkness to see who it was, because there was really only one person it could be. "Summer?" he whispered. Suddenly his skin was prickling, feeling too hot and yet all too aware that he was only wearing his boxers under the sheets; he'd kicked off the coverlet long ago, it was lying bunched at the bottom of the bed.
HOW CONVENIENT. :D
"It's me," she whispered back as she straightened, pushing off the door, leaving that life line as she made her way towards the bed without another word. She felt breathless and nervous and excited all at once, maybe this was crazy but it wasn't a mistake. She put her finger up to her mouth to silence him as she moved to crawl onto the bed, moving onto to straddle his lap, letting her body guide her.
I KNOW RITE? 8D
Of course, it was starting to feel like one of those fantasies was coming true as she moved, not to stand beside the bed and ask how he was, but to shush him and proceed to crawl onto the bed, onto him, her body heat barely impeded by whatever cloth was between them, because it sure as hell wasn't much. His entire body shivered, but not because he was cold, as he looked up at her face, almost awestruck. "... Hi," he managed to somehow get out, the word whispered so very quietly between them as he reached up with one hand to touch her face, carefully, like it might scare her off - or wake him up from whatever very nice dream he was apparently having. He practically breathed the next few words, because if he was too loud... the moment might break, or at the very least, her father would hear something. "I thought you'd be asleep."
perfectiooooon
"I couldn't stop thinking about you in here," she spoke so softly, her head turning back to look down at him, her skin prickling too as she leaned down to press her lips to his for a slow, drawn out kiss.
<333!
His lips moved carefully, slowly against hers - and probably a little more eagerly than he meant, but there was only so much he could hold back when suddenly his fantasy seemed to have stepped out of his mind and into his lap - and his body knew it, too. He shuffled up so he was sitting a little better, the hand that wasn't touching her face moving to carefully rest at her hip, fingers curling gently into the fabric of her robe. "Well... I didn't mean to keep you up," he murmured, smiling up at her with a mixture of gentleness and hopefulness that he simply couldn't mask. "What can I do to help?"
<33333333333
Of course, his words only made her nervousness multiply, made those butterflies in her stomach flutter like mad. But it was his smile that made it stop, the way he looked so hopeful and she knew then and there that this was right. She kissed him again, softly, slowly before she could manage to whisper, "I love you, Leckie. I..." How did she say this? How did tell him what she wanted when she wasn't even sure what to say? "I..." Instead of speaking, both hands found his face and drew his it to her mouth once more, this time letting the hunger in her kiss tell him what she wanted, what he could do to make it better.

His body shivered again as she kissed him, especially considering the feel of her heat, her weight in his lap, making his body react and he was worried it would scare her away... but he'd just have to cross that bridge when he came to it. Right now, he tried to answer that kiss with one of his own, nodding a little against her lips as his fingers dragged down the fabric of her robe, over her hip and down to touch the outside of her thigh, coming dangerously close to the hem. "Summer... I love you too. I have for so long - " He wanted her to know that, for her to understand that what she was doing... he didn't think it was wrong, either.
no subject
His hands moved along her body, touching her through fabric and she felt her breath catch in her throat at the idea of him touching her in those same places except without fabric between them. Her eyes opened to look at him when he spoke, melting above him at what he said. "Oh, Leckie..." She knew he knew she loved him for so long too. "I would've loved you no matter what. I still do," she murmured softly against his lips. And with a tiny breath, her hand reached for his, guiding it to the tie of her robe, her stomach churning with nerves as she encouraged him to pull at it.
no subject
His fingers moved to grasp the fabric beneath them, carefully pulling at it until it came loose, the robe falling open with nothing to hold it closed over her body and... well, fuck, she wasn't wearing anything at all underneath it, and he couldn't help the way he stared, the little inhale of breath, the way his fingers moved from her robe to the soft skin of her stomach, the pads of his fingers touching her almost like she might break if he wasn't as careful as he could possibly be. He glanced up at her face, wanting to make sure this was still okay, that his touch wasn't going to drive her away, his expression both reverent and awestruck at just how beautiful her body was, with nothing left to hide it. "And I can't ask for anything more." Because really, who could? Who could possibly imagine wanting something greater than what she had given him?
no subject
"I know I'm not... a pin up or anything," she choked out nervously. I just hope that I'm pretty enough for you to want me the rest of our lives is what she wanted to say.
no subject
But all of that wasn't even important at the moment, as the hand touching her face tried to get her to look up, to calm down, his thumb stroking her cheek carefully, gently. "I don't want you to be scared, you don't - you don't have to do this - " God, he wanted her, he wanted more, but if she didn't, if she was only trying to keep him from leaving, now that he had his memory back... then that wasn't want he wanted this to be about.
no subject
And because of his words, it made her easy to lean back down, bare chest pressing to his as she kissed him, tenderly, her fingers slipping up to comb through his hair as her other hand slipped between them to rest on his chest, just missing the scar there.
no subject
And that was doubly true as she leaned forward, her chest brushing against his as her lips sought his for a kiss, one he hummed quietly into, remembering they had to keep it down but he still wanted her to know how good it felt. But as her fingers trailed down his chest, his body couldn't help but tense - he didn't know what she'd do when she saw the scar, when she realized she might have to touch it, that it was something he could never remove or make better. He knew he wasn't ugly, he knew she must find him desirable and he always did his best to look good for her, but somehow he'd always felt much safer knowing the worst he had to offer could be hidden beneath his clothes and dealt with later - except now it was later, and now she was going to see.
He broke the kiss slowly, reluctantly, deciding that he couldn't possibly hope to keep her from noticing it, he wasn't stupid enough to think that she'd never see it. He swallowed, not entirely sure what to say, how to tell her, except, "I'm not as perfect as you are, though. I know I'm lucky - I'm whole, and I'm here, but I - " He reached for her hand, pulling it closer to the biggest scar, leaning back a little so maybe she'd be able to see without actually making her touch it - that she'd have to do on her own. "If you don't like it... I just figured you should know where to avoid."
no subject
But as she leaned over to kiss him, she felt him tense beneath her fingertips which only made her pause and pull her hand away from his chest, her eyes opening to look at him as he pulled back from the kiss. And as he started to speak, her eyes started to drift downward, wondering what he was talking about, why he was drawing her hand to-- Her eyes went wide as her fingers suddenly felt the raised and puckered skin beneath her fingertips. And for a moment she just pulled back a little so she could see, her eyes squinting against the dim light of the room. Her training as a nurse did her no favors when it came to imagining what sort of wound it was, what it looked like when it was fresh, her expression falling for a moment as her hand slid down his side. She knew it shouldn't hurt him but her eyes flickered to his face to make sure. "Leckie--" She leaned up to press her lips to his briefly, her words that followed soft and full of emotion. "I don't like it but not because of what you think... I don't like that you had to go through all that pain." Her hand stayed on it, smoothing up and down along the scar, tracing it with her palm. "You're still perfect to me."
And after pressing another soft kiss to his lips, she dared to be bold, leaning down to press a kiss to the scar, shifting above him a little so that she could do so. Her fingers found another, small nick near by and she pressed her lips there too, realizing then that this was the first time she'd ever done something like, kiss a man's chest. She glanced back up to him, "I love all of you."
I'm thinking they were far enough along before he left that there wasn't much debauchery down under~
Still, he couldn't help but hold his breath, his body tensing again as she reached down to touch the biggest scar on her chest. It was hard to gauge her reactions, whether they were good or bad, so he just sat as still as he could, hardly daring to breathe as she moved to slide her hand over his side, leaving a swath of heat in its wake as he dared to look up again as she started to speak. And her words were... comforting, and a relief, as he let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding when she said she still thought he was perfect. "It brought me home to you... even if it took longer than it should have," he murmured, because it had, in more than one respect. He had been gone at war for a long time, and then he had come home but still been essentially gone, up until tonight.
But what really brought her point home was when she leaned down, her lips touching the scar and making him gasp - in pleasure, and nothing but - as heat blossomed over his skin wherever her lips touched, the newer skin of the scar somehow more sensitive than he could have imagined. His fingers curled gently against the skin at her shoulder and cheek as he held perfectly still, eyes fluttering shut as he let out a breath. This was the first time a woman had kissed him like that, too - sure, there had been gently of chances for kisses and more in Melbourne, but he'd had a girl back home waiting for him, and so while he'd done plenty of (drunken) looking, he hadn't done any touching. "Oh, that..." He trailed off, one hand sliding down her back, fingers trailing over the bumps of her spine as he didn't dare move his torso at all. "That feels good."
works for meeee
But she took more comfort from the way he touched her as her mouth found that scar, that skin that deserved to be loved. She tried to replace the malice that put it there with nothing but love and understanding. And as his fingers slipped down her spine and he told her it felt good, she let out a quiet sound, her very first moan against his skin. She took in another breath, boldly kissing along the scar again before she wondered if that was too lewd of her to do. Had he been with other girls who kissed him like that? What had those other girls done for him? Would she measure up? She fought back insecurities enough to kiss him another time before finding his lips again, letting her fingers tentatively trace that scar. "Tell me what to do, Leckie... I... I don't know." And while she was never timid, it just wasn't Summer Roberts's way, she was now, trying to get a feel for what he liked, what she should do in order to... well, start this. Was there any set order? Was she supposed to do something or should she just follow what her body was urging her to do which was kiss him more?
I think he'd actually be a good boy if he definitely had someone waiting back home~
He glanced up at her; he knew how things were supposed to work, and he'd fantasized plenty, helped on by a healthy dose of the lewdest talk the United States Marine Corps had to offer. But here and now, when it really came down to it... "I don't know that I know, exactly, either," he admitted quietly, fingers brushing against the bare skin at the small of her back as his other hand rested at her hip. "I've never... well, it's probably not something most men would admit, but..." He was a virgin, that was all there was to it, but he knew what his body was telling him, the same as Summer did. "I was hoping... we could figure it out together?" He wasn't sure how this was supposed to work, what society thought, but maybe if they just... talked, told each other when something felt good, when they wanted more or when it was too much... "And I do know that if you decide you don't want to do something... tell me. Please." He would much rather stop in the middle of something than go all the way thinking it was something she wanted only to find out later it wan't.
d'aww. she's definitely been good
Still, there was some sort of strange relief she got when he admitted that he didn't know what to do either, implying that he was just as inexperienced as she was, just as 'pure'. And when he said he hoped they could figure it out together, a rush of air left her lungs, a smile parting her lips without her meaning it to. "Okay," she murmured quietly, remembering they had to stay quiet for very obvious reasons. So at his instruction, his plea, she nodded. "I promise." She would stop him if something felt wrong or she decided to back out because while she was meek now, she knew that when she didn't want to do something, she would stand up for himself.
"We can do this. Together." Her mouth pressed to his once more, kissing him with a slow mounting passion, her mind still buzzing with questions about how she should move, where should she touch, what was wrong, what was right, was she supposed to stay in his lap?
<333
So he smiled as she agreed, both that they could do this together and that she would tell him if he went too far, but that was about as far as his thinking got before she moved to kiss him again. He was quite happy to kiss her back - kissing was familiar, yes, and it was one way he knew to be close, though this time when his hands touched her back or her sides, they were met with bare skin, something that made him shiver every time he realized it; not to mention that all of this shifting around on his lap was having a bigger effect every second, though he supposed if they were going to go farther with this, then that was exactly what was supposed to happen - at least on his end. He didn't know much about what was supposed to be going on for her, but he figured the only way he'd find out was to get doing - so he kept right on exploring her back with his fingertips, both hands sliding over bare skin now because she'd seemed to like it so much before. His lips moved eagerly against hers, trying to get a feel for how she was feeling through the kiss as his hands tried to map out every inch of her body, moving down over her behind once he'd finished her back, then over her legs, up her stomach, though he slowed down as he reached just a little higher, the pads of his fingers gently, carefully tracing out the curves under those perfect breasts of hers.
