meme | #001 -- hardest words to say ( and i'd do anything to make you stay )

HARDEST THING TO SAY MEME

Sometimes the hardest things to say are also the most important. It doesn't matter how much it scares you to do so, it's finally time to be honest.

- post as your character.
- others go to RNG and roll numbers 1-22 then respond setting up a scenario.
- respond and have fun!

01. I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE Unfortunately, you can't keep lying to your partner/friend/family anymore. You just don't feel the same for them anymore.
02. I WOULD KILL YOU The person who means so much to you has done something completely unforgivable and now it's time to make sure they know where they stand. You would kill them if you ever got the chance.
03. I LOVE YOU, BUT... A bittersweet love confession. You know you love this person more than anything, but you're not sure you can give them what they need.
04. I DON'T TRUST YOU No matter how you feel about this person, you really can't trust them anymore.
05. SACRIFICE You're going to sacrifice yourself, for the person you're talking with or for the good of all humanity. You want them to know the reasons and that there's no stopping you.
06. TROUBLE You're in trouble and you might not make it through. You need to let at least one person know how you feel before it's too late though.
07. CRIME CONFESSION You did something you weren't proud of and now it's time to admit it.
08. DEMONS We've all got our demons and we've all got our own personal nightmares we have to face, but this time? You can't hold it all back.
09. I'M PREGNANT... Now's not the best time for it maybe or maybe you're just nervous how your partner will react, but they need to hear it.
10. BETRAYAL You've betrayed this person and you have to tell them the truth, no more running from it
11. CHEATED You've been unfaithful and it's time to tell your lover.
12. BROKEN That's it. You've had it. You are entirely broken and tired of everything.
13. AFRAID Something has you deathly afraid and you need to talk about it.
14. HELP ME You need someone to help you, bad. You can't do it alone anymore, you've tried.
15. I'M SORRY You said something or did something horrible and now it's time to ask for forgiveness.
16. YOU WERE A MISTAKE Sorry, but whoever you're talking to was the biggest mistake of your life or maybe it was just something you did together.
17. NOT WHO I SAY I AM You're so far from who they think you are, you need to finally tell the truth.
18. LET'S RUN AWAY You want to just get out, leave everything behind and be with this one person for the rest of your life.
19. ASHAMED Either you're ashamed of something they have done or something you did, either way you need to bring it up.
20. CAN'T REMEMBER The person standing in front of you looks so happy to see you, so relieved, but how do you tell them you can't remember a thing about them?
21. HOW COULD YOU You don't understand how they could treat you like they have, do what they have done when you've done nothing but be good to them.
22. YOUR CHOICE Either choose an option from above, mix and match, or make up your own idea.

yep. totally stolen from memebells.
frolic with your subject lines and be free!

[She gets a brief glare when she upsets the state of his mess, but he's too busy with his slide to bother with that now. Sherlock can tell she's dancing around something. If she had to tell him, he wished she just would.]

Are you going to elaborate some time today, Pond?
sharp: (who knows what's best.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-26 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Not if you don't just answer the question.

[ He certainly gets a glare back as she puts down his papers and turns to face him from her crossed-arm position in the living room. But it seemed she was never going to get to be subtle about this.

Amy heaves a sigh, shaking her head. ]
I'm talking about me, you moron.
deductives: (sorry I don't speak moron)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-27 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
[That grabs his attention, finally. Sherlock had a feeling it was what she meant, but putting it out in the open was better. That and he has no idea why this is the case. Why would she want to go to the chemist's down the street with him, let alone on a trip?]

So you are. And why would Amy Pond need me to take a holiday?
sharp: (she's touring the facility.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-27 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[ Amy is glad to finally gain his attention, even though he just puts her on the spot again. She walks over to the doorway to the kitchen, leaning against it, arms still folded over her chest. ]

Because Sherlock Holmes just does, and so do I. What other reasons do there have to be?

[ Of course she has them. Quite a few, actually. They're just difficult to say. He already had her admitting things before she could get an answer out of him. ]
deductives: (Default)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-27 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock has to admit, her line of thought is... interesting. And he does want to see what exactly she's planning. Curiosity was a marvelous devil to have on your shoulder.]

Fine. Take me somewhere.

[It's more a challenge than accepting her terms. Sherlock stands and takes his coat from the back of his chair. Where could she take him that he didn't already know?]
sharp: (i want a girl.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-27 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
What, now?

[ Amy really wasn't expecting that. Yes, she wanted him to come away with her, but that was supposed to be something they could plan later.

She straightens up, standing at her full height and shaking the surprised expression from her face. It was still the closest to a 'yes' answer she's gotten so far. Not going to let the opportunity slip away. ]

Right. No pressure there.

[ Turning sharply on her heel, she picks up her own coat and scarf from the sofa. She only gives him a few seconds to catch up before she bounds down the stairs. ]

Come on, then!
deductives: (check you later bb)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-27 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Perhaps he's testing how well Amy can think on her feet. Perhaps he just wants to prove her wrong. Either way, he raises a brow at her sudden enthusiasm. With a few long strides, he's down the stairs with her, opening the door to the Baker Street flat.]

Right. So are we walking or hailing a cab?
sharp: (who's fast and thorough.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[ Amy can think very quick on her feet, actually. Being resourceful is one of her many time-travelling traits. She already has a plan in mind, but whether he'll be impressed is something she can't predict. But she feels pretty confident at the moment. ]

Walking. For now.

[ Without another word, she leads him to the end of the street, but before they approach the corner, she turns to stop him. Her eyes give him a wait right here signal, and then she peeks around the building. When she returns back to him, she nods. ]

Okay, close your eyes. Actually, no wait. Hang on. Give me your scarf.
deductives: (imperious thought)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock stares at her for a minute. She wants to blindfold him? His nose would serve him just as well, really, but he doesn't mention that.]

You have your own.

[Begrudgingly, however, he unfurls his scarf and hands it over, watching Amy with a quiet suspicion.]
sharp: (she's putting up her hair.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, Captain Obvious. But yours is smaller, and I don't trust you won't peek.

[ Amy stares back for a moment, then finally takes the scarf and moves around behind him. She doesn't have to stand on her toes, only lean over his shoulders a bit to make sure she has it secured across his eyes. ] That should do it. [ Instead of leading him by the shoulders, she goes back around to his front and grabs one of his hands. ]

Okay, just follow me and don't ask questions.

[ As long as he didn't fuss too much, they should round the corner and walk a few steps into the alley before stopping. There's a series of clicks and what sounds like a door opening before she gives him a tug to step forward and walk inside. ]
deductives: (epiphany)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock sighs-- doing this right out in the open doubtlessly made him look like a prize idiot, and he starts to wonder why he agreed to this at all.

He can tell by the distance and the smell that she's pulled him into the alley nearby which was... odd. When he hears a door, it's doubly so. There wasn't anything of the sort in this alley. Or there hadn't been.]
sharp: (and sharp as a tack.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
[ It's a good thing no one was really watching them or were around to see this. He shouldn't care anyway. Amy doesn't. She's having fun with this now.

She leads him in further, which by now he should hear some more odd noises like a quiet hum of machinery. There appears to be a staircase nearby, but instead of going through the fiasco of moving him up, Amy places the hand that she's holding onto the railing. ]

Right. So, I need you to hold on. Don't take the blindfold off, and just ... stay here. No matter what happens. Okay? I'll be right back.

[ With that, Amy races up the steps. The machine noises amplify paired with what sounds like a typewriter, a couple of switched thrown and a rumbling that makes the floor shake for a moment and then lurch. Hard. ]

Ha-ha, got it! [ She shouts from what will sound like is above him before the clapping of her boots are heard coming down the stairs again. ] Almost done. Feeling alright?
deductives: (raegface)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
[It doesn't take long for Sherlock to realize where they are. Now where they're headed becomes an even bigger mystery, considering the moons of Jupiter were now an option. He wants to rip the blindfold off, but holding onto something steady becomes more important.

Being on the TARDIS isn't quite the surprise. It's Amy being able to control it. ...If she could. He almost launches over the railing, but holds fast until he hears Amy come back.]

You know how to pilot this thing?
sharp: (and picking up slack.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Nope!

[ Because, honestly, would he have let her if she told him that? This is why she kept him blindfolded. And to avoid him getting distracted; she knows he would. She just hopes the coordinates she entered were correct.

Amy brushes by him and pulls open the doors. He can probably hear her chuckle after that. Oh yeah, they were in the right place. Then she rejoins him, prying his hands away from the railing. ]

You're gonna need your scarf.

[ She tugs him over to the doors and then reaches up to untie his scarf. When she removes his blindfold, he should see that they're very far off from London. Hopefully he knows his geography. She knows he can appreciate a nighttime sky, and this is a sight even Amy hasn't seen yet. An alien planet would be a bit too much for him, for now. ]

What do you think?
deductives: (on the go)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
[When the doors opens, the cold wind that blasts through sends a chill down his spine. Definitely not London, even for this time of year. Sherlock is sure to aim a scowl at her when she says that.]

Pond--

[Finally, the scarf is gone, and he can look properly at where she's dragged him. Thoughts on a definite location are delayed when he gets an eyeful of the Northern Lights just above his head. And indeed, Sherlock could appreciate this. They weren't part of space, really, and they were gorgeous enough to keep him from scolding Amy any further. He doesn't bother looking back at her to answer.]

Not bad. Though I'd figured you had something a little farther south in mind.
sharp: (with shoes that cut.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ When he swallows his words, Amy can't help but feel she succeeded, if only for the moment. She hides her smile and just watches the sky, standing beside him. ]

What, you mean like Rio? We're not dressed for that. [ She shrugs, fiddling with her scarf. ] To be honest, I like this better.

[ She finally looks up at him with a small teasing smile. ]

Do you need me to get you a blanket?
deductives: (heh)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
...You like Alaska better? That doesn't speak well for your personality, Pond.

[It matches his, really, but really, what was there interesting about Alaska? Aside from this view, anyway. Sherlock tears his eyes away from the sky for a minute, looking at Amy with an amused brow raised.]

No. I'm fine.

[Though his hands are shoved firmly into his pockets and he doesn't put that much distance between them. She was a source of warmth, at least.]
sharp: (she's playing with her jewelry.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Shut up. You know what I mean.

[ Amy isn't looking to settle down in an igloo, but she's Scottish, and cold weather is what she does. And stars, she does stars very well.

And it wasn't just Alaska. It was everything. She was trying to prove it was simple as that to go away somewhere -- any time or place. It was difficult to explain, so why not show? ]

Good. We could do this more often, you know? And not just where I want to go. Even though, I do have some good suggestions.

[ She laughs at herself, suddenly feeling unusually modest. ]
deductives: (lemme rifle it for change first)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-29 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
What, steal the TARDIS? I have frequent flyer miles, you know.

[But again, he knows what she means. Sherlock glances at her when her demeanor changes. He still didn't understand-- why would she want to go anywhere with him, when she had the whole universe at her fingertips with the Doctor?]

"The man who tires of London tires of life." Think that's how it goes.

[He could think of a few places worth investigating outside of England. Looking up at the sky, he decides this is alright for now.]
sharp: (Default)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-29 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a big fan of waiting, in case you forgot.

[ But it still manages to make her smile a bit. She would actually be surprised if he was serious though -- hours on a plane compared to seconds in the TARDIS. ]

But what about London in 1969? Or 1887? Even 102 AD.

[ Amy tries to remain clever, but she understands his answer and what he's really trying to stay. Probably the nicest way he's capable of rejecting her, really. ]
deductives: (solemnity)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-29 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't.

[Sherlock just doesn't like the TARDIS on principle. It defies his conventions of physics. The time travel especially. There were enough mysteries to solve in his own lifetime, weren't there?

Rejection of Amy isn't really his intention. Just her methods.]

Edinburgh. 2012. I have an engagement there.
sharp: (pic#1235444)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-29 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ Maybe Amy would take the plane, then. ]

What sort of engagement?

[ She buttons up her coat and tightens her scarf before nudging him with her elbow. If they made the trip, they might as well walk a bit. No promises she won't just run off with him now. ]
deductives: (on the go)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-30 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock makes it a point to surge a bit ahead of her, kicking up a spray of snow with his shoes. His eyes are still raised upward, the colors becoming more vibrant as they got farther away from the lights of the TARDIS.]

A case, Pond. Don't be thick.
sharp: (pic#1235259)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-30 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ Amy doesn't mind lagging behind when her eyes are also on the glowing sky. How could anyone resist all this? Even if she always wants to do more than just look. Eventually her feet fall in time with his, stepping in the path his shoes have made. ]

'Course. So, how do you know about it now?

[ Seems a bit far off for him to accept it. ]
deductives: (chinese food stakeout)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-02 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I don't just go places and cases appear before me, you know. The clients come to me. Make requests. I decide if they're worth my time or not.

[Unexpectedly, he flops back into the snow, putting his arms behind his head. Yes, it was freezing, but there was a much better view this way.]

I said I never get tired of London. I didn't say I never leave it.
