meme | #001 -- hardest words to say ( and i'd do anything to make you stay )

HARDEST THING TO SAY MEME

Sometimes the hardest things to say are also the most important. It doesn't matter how much it scares you to do so, it's finally time to be honest.

- post as your character.
- others go to RNG and roll numbers 1-22 then respond setting up a scenario.
- respond and have fun!

01. I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE Unfortunately, you can't keep lying to your partner/friend/family anymore. You just don't feel the same for them anymore.
02. I WOULD KILL YOU The person who means so much to you has done something completely unforgivable and now it's time to make sure they know where they stand. You would kill them if you ever got the chance.
03. I LOVE YOU, BUT... A bittersweet love confession. You know you love this person more than anything, but you're not sure you can give them what they need.
04. I DON'T TRUST YOU No matter how you feel about this person, you really can't trust them anymore.
05. SACRIFICE You're going to sacrifice yourself, for the person you're talking with or for the good of all humanity. You want them to know the reasons and that there's no stopping you.
06. TROUBLE You're in trouble and you might not make it through. You need to let at least one person know how you feel before it's too late though.
07. CRIME CONFESSION You did something you weren't proud of and now it's time to admit it.
08. DEMONS We've all got our demons and we've all got our own personal nightmares we have to face, but this time? You can't hold it all back.
09. I'M PREGNANT... Now's not the best time for it maybe or maybe you're just nervous how your partner will react, but they need to hear it.
10. BETRAYAL You've betrayed this person and you have to tell them the truth, no more running from it
11. CHEATED You've been unfaithful and it's time to tell your lover.
12. BROKEN That's it. You've had it. You are entirely broken and tired of everything.
13. AFRAID Something has you deathly afraid and you need to talk about it.
14. HELP ME You need someone to help you, bad. You can't do it alone anymore, you've tried.
15. I'M SORRY You said something or did something horrible and now it's time to ask for forgiveness.
16. YOU WERE A MISTAKE Sorry, but whoever you're talking to was the biggest mistake of your life or maybe it was just something you did together.
17. NOT WHO I SAY I AM You're so far from who they think you are, you need to finally tell the truth.
18. LET'S RUN AWAY You want to just get out, leave everything behind and be with this one person for the rest of your life.
19. ASHAMED Either you're ashamed of something they have done or something you did, either way you need to bring it up.
20. CAN'T REMEMBER The person standing in front of you looks so happy to see you, so relieved, but how do you tell them you can't remember a thing about them?
21. HOW COULD YOU You don't understand how they could treat you like they have, do what they have done when you've done nothing but be good to them.
22. YOUR CHOICE Either choose an option from above, mix and match, or make up your own idea.

yep. totally stolen from memebells.
frolic with your subject lines and be free!

Nope!

[ Because, honestly, would he have let her if she told him that? This is why she kept him blindfolded. And to avoid him getting distracted; she knows he would. She just hopes the coordinates she entered were correct.

Amy brushes by him and pulls open the doors. He can probably hear her chuckle after that. Oh yeah, they were in the right place. Then she rejoins him, prying his hands away from the railing. ]

You're gonna need your scarf.

[ She tugs him over to the doors and then reaches up to untie his scarf. When she removes his blindfold, he should see that they're very far off from London. Hopefully he knows his geography. She knows he can appreciate a nighttime sky, and this is a sight even Amy hasn't seen yet. An alien planet would be a bit too much for him, for now. ]

What do you think?
deductives: (on the go)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
[When the doors opens, the cold wind that blasts through sends a chill down his spine. Definitely not London, even for this time of year. Sherlock is sure to aim a scowl at her when she says that.]

Pond--

[Finally, the scarf is gone, and he can look properly at where she's dragged him. Thoughts on a definite location are delayed when he gets an eyeful of the Northern Lights just above his head. And indeed, Sherlock could appreciate this. They weren't part of space, really, and they were gorgeous enough to keep him from scolding Amy any further. He doesn't bother looking back at her to answer.]

Not bad. Though I'd figured you had something a little farther south in mind.
sharp: (with shoes that cut.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ When he swallows his words, Amy can't help but feel she succeeded, if only for the moment. She hides her smile and just watches the sky, standing beside him. ]

What, you mean like Rio? We're not dressed for that. [ She shrugs, fiddling with her scarf. ] To be honest, I like this better.

[ She finally looks up at him with a small teasing smile. ]

Do you need me to get you a blanket?
deductives: (heh)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-28 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
...You like Alaska better? That doesn't speak well for your personality, Pond.

[It matches his, really, but really, what was there interesting about Alaska? Aside from this view, anyway. Sherlock tears his eyes away from the sky for a minute, looking at Amy with an amused brow raised.]

No. I'm fine.

[Though his hands are shoved firmly into his pockets and he doesn't put that much distance between them. She was a source of warmth, at least.]
sharp: (she's playing with her jewelry.)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-28 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Shut up. You know what I mean.

[ Amy isn't looking to settle down in an igloo, but she's Scottish, and cold weather is what she does. And stars, she does stars very well.

And it wasn't just Alaska. It was everything. She was trying to prove it was simple as that to go away somewhere -- any time or place. It was difficult to explain, so why not show? ]

Good. We could do this more often, you know? And not just where I want to go. Even though, I do have some good suggestions.

[ She laughs at herself, suddenly feeling unusually modest. ]
deductives: (lemme rifle it for change first)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-29 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
What, steal the TARDIS? I have frequent flyer miles, you know.

[But again, he knows what she means. Sherlock glances at her when her demeanor changes. He still didn't understand-- why would she want to go anywhere with him, when she had the whole universe at her fingertips with the Doctor?]

"The man who tires of London tires of life." Think that's how it goes.

[He could think of a few places worth investigating outside of England. Looking up at the sky, he decides this is alright for now.]
sharp: (Default)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-29 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a big fan of waiting, in case you forgot.

[ But it still manages to make her smile a bit. She would actually be surprised if he was serious though -- hours on a plane compared to seconds in the TARDIS. ]

But what about London in 1969? Or 1887? Even 102 AD.

[ Amy tries to remain clever, but she understands his answer and what he's really trying to stay. Probably the nicest way he's capable of rejecting her, really. ]
deductives: (solemnity)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-29 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't.

[Sherlock just doesn't like the TARDIS on principle. It defies his conventions of physics. The time travel especially. There were enough mysteries to solve in his own lifetime, weren't there?

Rejection of Amy isn't really his intention. Just her methods.]

Edinburgh. 2012. I have an engagement there.
sharp: (pic#1235444)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-29 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ Maybe Amy would take the plane, then. ]

What sort of engagement?

[ She buttons up her coat and tightens her scarf before nudging him with her elbow. If they made the trip, they might as well walk a bit. No promises she won't just run off with him now. ]
deductives: (on the go)

[personal profile] deductives 2011-12-30 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock makes it a point to surge a bit ahead of her, kicking up a spray of snow with his shoes. His eyes are still raised upward, the colors becoming more vibrant as they got farther away from the lights of the TARDIS.]

A case, Pond. Don't be thick.
sharp: (pic#1235259)

[personal profile] sharp 2011-12-30 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ Amy doesn't mind lagging behind when her eyes are also on the glowing sky. How could anyone resist all this? Even if she always wants to do more than just look. Eventually her feet fall in time with his, stepping in the path his shoes have made. ]

'Course. So, how do you know about it now?

[ Seems a bit far off for him to accept it. ]
deductives: (chinese food stakeout)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-02 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I don't just go places and cases appear before me, you know. The clients come to me. Make requests. I decide if they're worth my time or not.

[Unexpectedly, he flops back into the snow, putting his arms behind his head. Yes, it was freezing, but there was a much better view this way.]

I said I never get tired of London. I didn't say I never leave it.
sharp: (pic#1235264)

[personal profile] sharp 2012-01-02 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't that be nice.

[ Amy has to stop and look over before she can keep going. It probably wasn't very smart to lie down in the snow, but they were taking all the risks today. She settles beside him, careful that her coat reaches behind her legs. ]

Sooo, Scotland. You're saying you'll go? Does this make me a client then?

[ It's asked with a soft roll of her eyes as she laughs. ]
deductives: (jfc just shut up)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-02 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Of course you aren't. You haven't sent me an inquiry.

[Sherlock sighs, brushing some hair from his face. Now she was the one being dense. And purposely, in his opinion. He's asking her to go, if that's what she wants so badly.]

If you're in the area, though.
sharp: (and picking up slack.)

[personal profile] sharp 2012-01-02 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
[ To be honest, Amy enjoys that the tables have been turned slightly. She knows what he's trying to say, but it's easy and amusing to force him to elaborate. He's almost as bad as her when it comes down to it. ]

This is a pretty big inquiry, wouldn't you say though?

[ She did bring him to Alaska to prove a point. ]

I'm sure I can fit it into my schedule. I've got the time.
deductives: (fuckin' research)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-02 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock scoffs. This is an inquiry? It doesn't quite fit his normal criteria. He crosses his legs nonchalantly.]

You always have time, Pond. I may have you take a pun penalty for that one.
sharp: (and sharp as a tack.)

[personal profile] sharp 2012-01-04 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
[ Amy doesn't fit any normal criteria, to be fair. She folds her arms over her chest, burying them against her coat. She forgot her gloves. ]

Shut up, it was funny. [ nudges his side with her elbow. ] I could leave you here, you know.

[ Not that she ever would, but suddenly ... a smile breaks out across her face and she sits up. There's probably quite a bit of a snow stuck to her back, but she's already on her feet again. A small head start shouldn't hurt. He was good at running anyway, if she remembers. ]
deductives: (ADVENTURE TIME)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-07 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Up to debate.

[Sherlock glances at her. She wouldn't. He knows she wouldn't. But that doesn't stop him from leaping up and giving chase, the tail of his coat leaving an oddly shaped snow angel behind him.]

I know how to pilot it about as well as you, you know--

[He catches up with her, barely, and wipes her back off.]
sharp: (she's touring the facility.)

[personal profile] sharp 2012-01-07 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
[ By the time he has caught up with her, she's breathing hard and feeling the cold air burn her lungs -- in a good, kind of exhilarating way. Laughter bubbles up in her throat soon after, throwing a glance over her shoulder. ]

Sounds like a challenge, then.

[ She grasps the silver handle of the great, big blue box, but her eyes watch Sherlock. With the small dose of adrenaline in her system, the words tumble out before she can think about them: ] Come away with me.
deductives: (phasing)

[personal profile] deductives 2012-01-07 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock feels his face crinkle in the slightest of smiles. Challenges are good. He's fairly certain Amy is one of the few people who can provide one legally. Well, not to the laws of physics, anyway.

But her question renders him stone faced again. He can't just leave John, or London at large, behind. That, and she isn't the Doctor. She shouldn't try to be. As an average human being, her behavior proves far more fascinating.

He stops by the door and gives her the courtesy of looking her in the eye.]

Amy, I... can't.
sharp: (pic#1703485)

[personal profile] sharp 2012-01-07 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Amy's mouth falls open slightly, realizing how high her hopes were for a second and how much she wished she could swallow them back. Stupid. That really wasn't how she wanted to ask him. ]

Right, of course. Stupid suggestion. I was ... joking, anyway. [ Which she already knows is an unconvincing lie, but she laughs at herself regardless. It's the most she can think of to break some of awkward tension she feels. ] Come on. We should just get you back to Baker Street, yeah?

[ She opens the TARDIS door, letting herself in first. ]
