[Artura has always been glad for Guinevere. Merlin is wonderful (though she'd be begrudged to admit it) at what he does, and what he can do, but give the man a dress and he hasn't got any idea what he's doing. Armor he could do well enough, after enough practice, but his hands are nothing like Gwen's. It's why she's sent for her now, when she needs to be stripped of her armor, drawn a bath and dressed for the feast. All things considered, having both a maidservant and a manservant is quite fitting for the position she's carved out for herself.

The problem was that she might be enjoying Guinevere's company a little too much.

All Artura knows though, all that she's sure of as she leans back against the edge of her bath, is how she can't imagine a life without Guinevere in it.]
