[He shrinks up for a moment, curled tighter. He doesn't want to. And he does. The internal confusion between the two, combined with the compulsion of of the spell leave him fight himself - Daniel didn't say now so he can fight it for a minute, trying to figure out what he wants. But he doesn't know, and does uncurl to come over to Daniel, standing beside him because all he was told was come over, and he doesn't know if he wants contact.]

Let me hold you.

[There's a soft resignation in his voice - it's selfish, to cast himself as the comforter in this horrorshow, but if he must be horrid, he may as well be selfish.]

[He sits, slowly.]

I don't know if I want to be held.

[Some part of him really, really doesn't want to be touched, doesn't know if he can stand it. Some other part of him needs it. But it's enough to allow him to protest.]

That doesn't matter at all.

[So very, quietly bitter. If Magneto wants to be held, then Daniel wants to hold him. If he doesn't, then the order stands for the perversity of it and god can this please be over soon. Daniel scoots next to him and wraps his arms around him.]

[He recoils as much as he can, which isn't much, body locking up. He's still not sure - but it's being dismissed like that which throws it formally and firmly in the DO NOT WANT category, jaw locked, body almost vibrating from tension.]

Let me go.

[Growled.]

[Just. Clings to him, shaking a little. In anger, in self-loathing, in fear - though more of what this will do to both of them than of Magneto himself.]

[The sound he makes is almost inhuman, something too primal. It's not anger, because he can't be, but frustration isn't anger, and he lashes out, trying to kick, hit, grab flesh and tear it with his nails, even bite. He doesn't, in fact, realize he's crying over emotional overload.]

[Daniel shudders and doesn't let go, can't let go. His face flinches away but is never out of range.]

Shhh, it's alright.

[Nonsense and lies. That doesn't matter either.]

[More words growled, elbows trying to land against Daniel's chest.]

[He can't be angry and how he can't fight, and while Daniel had prevented him from being as afraid, it's still there, so much worse than earlier, and just still not there in in the amount it normally would be.]

I hate you.

[And it's duel purpose, because right now he does and he wants to hurt Daniel, to make him bleed and cry and hurt.]

I know.

[He's bleeding a little, here and there, voice cracking a little, and he tucks his face against Magneto's neck. Just. Hiding.]

Hold me anyway.

[He's not bleeding enough.]

I don't want to.

[But he has to.]

[It's pleading. And doesn't have anything to do with physical contact.]

Stop asking me that.

[Because he can't. He's too deep in it now. If the he can't keep it up until the curse is broken, then all of this suffering was for nothing. The only way out is through.]

But I want to go.

[Broken or not, the curse this point has done lasting damage. He doesn't feel safe even if he believe Daniel believe he is and has made him believe that too, doesn't want to be here, doesn't want to be touch much less want to be holding someone else. But if he were released on the general public right now, there would be nothing but slaughter and he'd kill anyone who even remotely got close enough to tell him to stop.]

I know you do. I'm so sorry.

[He hates this so much. He's willing to be the bad guy, he really is, but not to his, that's not how it's supposed to work. And, fuck, he can't take care of Magneto if he's this fucked up but he can't let himself take care of him anyway, that's half the problem - Daniel just. Breathes.]

[He's begging, he knows he's begging, and he hates everyone and everything all the more for it]

[He lets go, hides his face in his own hands for a second - but no, that's not what matters.]

You can go hide in the wall for a while.

[It's immediate, the instant the order is given to move, before a time is even set, he's moving, retreating into the hollow, pulled up and wrapped around himself, and for the first time since Daniel has shown up, covered, wrapped inside his cape, cocooned in it, soles of his boots on the ground uncovered and enough of his face to breathe without showing much at all.]

[Daniel closes his eyes and curls up too, then simply waits, perfectly still.]

[Magneto stays very still, ignoring Daniel, breathing slowly, trying to relax.]

[He doesn't look any different, but somehow, he almost fades into the stone.]

[He stays there, not really moving. He considers shutting off nerves so he cannot see or hear but that frightens him too much, more than the 'No' the curse supplies as then Daniel couldn't given him orders.]
