Doesn't seem to matter. [ Because, you know, you stopped. She's teasing. How scandalous only not. ]

[He looks to her without moving his head, but winking quickly.]

I just don't wanna make you too flustered. Doing all the work is hard. [Most of that makes sense. Sort of.]

Oh? So you're stopping for my sake? How chivalrous of you. [ But she does bring one hand over to rest next to his. And their fingers may be touching. ]

I know, I'm a nice guy. [But even he can't say that with a straight face. His eyes flicker to their hands and he just takes her palm to his, lacing their fingers.]

And so modest, too. [ Butterflies. Why are you so good at giving her them, Jet? Her fingers twine with his too, he's got nice, warm, strong hands. She's always liked that. ]

Very modest. [Because he knows she likes them and he enjoys watching her get them. After his eyes linger on her for a little while, though, he lets them close.]

[ Welp. If Sokka and Suki can do it.

Just gonna lie down next to him then. Totally innocent, right? Right. ]
