WAIT! Don't kill it! [ Aang looks at Jet with wide glistening eyes, and his eye lashes are as long as they can be. ]

What if that chicken has a family and we eat it. [ That sounds better in his head. And by we, he means the people at camp excluding himself.]

[Jet stops short of the yell, and grimaces for having done so. That look-- that's playing dirty, Aang. But he sighs through his nose and listens for an explanation.

Aang, we have a family unit, and if we don't eat it-- it's getting away!

That's okay. [ He flashes Jet a reassuring smile before running after the chicken and yelling, again. ]

Run little chicken! BE FREEE!! [ His arms are low to the ground, as if he might scoop the chicken up if it doesn't hurry.

When he turns back to Jet, it's like nothing happened. Like he didn't just do that. ]

Guess it got away. [ Innocent shrug. ] Maybe we can find some nuts or fruit or something.

[Another sigh before Jet's jaw slackens at the yell. Did he just-- he just chased dinner away, didn't he? He can't think of a way to react, and yelling at Aang probably won't solve anything...

Running a hand down his face, Jet sheathes his swords.]

Yeah. Let's go find some nuts and fruit. [Note to self: Never take Aang hunting again.]

I don't care what anyone else says. You're a pretty cool guy, Jet. You could have killed that chicken and boiled it for dinner, but you didn't. [ He means it too, and is smiling from ear to ear. ]

Let's go this way. [ Acting as if he has any sense of direction, Aang starts heading in what is undoubtedly the wrong direction. They'd probably end up running into a whole flock of potential meat. ]

And he just blindly follows Aang, figuring he at least knows where to find what he's looking for. But he obviously doesn't. And Jet ducks down behind some bushes, yanking Aang down with him at the meat.
