ASHAMED Either you're ashamed of something they have done or something you did, either way you need to bring it up. 20. CAN'T REMEMBER The person standing in front of you looks so happy to see you, so relieved, but how do you tell them you can't remember a thing about them? 21. HOW COULD YOU You don't understand how they could treat you like they have, do what they have done when you've done nothing but be good to them. 22. Loki assumes that Darcy means another of the Avengers - which would prove problematic, and the various ways it would would depend on whom they were talking about. The Widow was most dangerous because he wasn't entirely sure what she would do. Thor was negligible, and (much as he'd hate to admit it) would add to Darcy's protections. Stark he couldn't give a damn about, though his inability to shut up would definitely require plugging up leaks. The archer... Most definitely would complicate things, if only because of his relationship with Darcy.

[ She doesn't know how - nor does she particularly care. But the message had served two purposes: not only does he know who her father is but there's the obvious underlying implication that he knows they regularly interact. ( and at that she has to cast a look over her shoulder - nothing - just to be sure )
How could this have happened? She knows for a fact that if she hadn't been as careful as she should have Fury, Cap, and Coulson - let alone Loki were more than aware enough to cover any visible tracks. So how had he found out? Still, she was more than content to wait for Loki's answer than bombard him with more texts. At least for once in her life. ]

[ That was an understatement. Not that anyone doubted that OSCORP would fail against Stark Industries but it was the fact that someone had come this close to it without resorting to putting someone in an iron suit that had Tony in a particularly grouchy mood.
Not that Darcy would put Osborn past doing something like that - from what she understood he wasn't exactly a model boss. Or a model anything, really. ]

[ She slides in, throwing a glance behind her just in case like she'd been doing at regular stops along the way. It's kind of embarrassing how much safer she feels in Loki's presence - perhaps a tell how comfortable she's become with him. But she knows, or at least hopes, that he'll do a great deal to ensure her safety. And there are worse things that could happen. ]
