Hey-- Hey, Charles. [Her voice is slurring, she can hear it, but she can't remember how to fix it. It's like this million-piece puzzle just to sort out how to make herself sound less drunk and tired, so she stops trying almost immediately. She clears her throat, but that does nothing but gain attention from the bartender. She gives the man a smile, shakes her head. Totally fine here!]

I, um. I think I need a ride. [As in she definitely did, only-] Just needta figure out where exactly I ended up? M'in Oxford still, I just. We--

I went to the bar, Charles. [She's grinning, and it's clear in her voice, even though some part of her knows she's admitting that she lied, right there, like it was nothing. So she frowned.] M'sorry I went to the bar without you, I wish-- I really wish you were here.

[ All of Raven's words are sinking in for Charles at a subdued pace, both from how tired he's found himself as well as how shocked -- how worried. He sighs immediately; that requires absolutely no thought. Worrying, fretting. Angry and -- surprised? Shocked? There are entirely too many things to feel as he's running over Raven's voice in his mind, all of the implications of her words.

He doesn't know where to begin. Not really. ]

You don't know where you are? [ Raven. Raven. Charles hardly has the time to scold her for being lucky to know him, lucky for his mutation as he's hurrying to get himself clothed and out of his bed. ]

Are you safe? You're not harmed? [ His voice is a combination of insistent and angry, as though he's unable to make a decision -- conscious or otherwise -- about how he ought to arrange his own thoughts. ]

I'm safe and at a bar. [Said with drunken conviction, although now she's sitting down because she knows, somehow, that's he's not happy with her. It's hard to make out any sort of distinction in his tone, but she just knows. Which isn't good. Her eyes shut as she tries to sort out her options.]

Don't be mad, it's okay. Mm, please don't be. Mad. I could take a cab, maybe. The schedule, though. [She squints, laughs a little tiny bit.] Cabs don't have schedules, do they. Meant the train. But I don't wanna get on the train.

[ When Charles finally speaks again, it's with a stern, solid tone -- as though he's finally resolved to settle on one emotion for the moment, and it's a very prominent and disappointed anger. ] You are not taking a cab. You are not getting on a train, either.

[ Charles tries to keep himself calm, to take a deep breath and close his eyes on the other end of the line. He clears his throat, brows knit. ] You will attempt to tell me where you are, and I am going to pick you up myself.

[ This was dangerous for several reasons, the primary one not exactly on his mind at the moment; perhaps even for the very first time, he's concerned quite a bit more for Raven as his sister than Raven as a mutant liability. ] Do you understand?
