[ That moment when you wake up from a dream and wonder 'where am I', like you're hungover, only if doesn't go away.

Watanuki is having one of those moments, when--as much as he blinks at the room and wonders whose bed this is and whose house he's in--his mind seems to slip on the details no matter how much he tries to hold them in. He reaches up, and touches a mysterious bandage at his temple. He feels weak; these two things are probably connected.

He tries to rouse himself. Swings one leg over the edge of the bed, touches and tests polished wood floors under his toes. His nape makes it about six inches away from the pillow before he collapses. Looks like he's stuck. ]

[ The night before was a close call, one Doumeki isn't inclined to repeat.

Watanuki is safe now. In precarious conditions, but safe. And, honestly, that's enough.

The exhaustion seeps in, clouds him like a heavy fog, and before he knows it he's startled into wakefulness by a thump.]

You're awake. [ in relief.

There's something about this sight, about Watanuki, that's extremely out of place. Whatever it is, Doumeki doesn't dwell on it, not right now.

For the moment, he focuses on getting Watanuki back on his feet and back to bed. ]

[ Oh. Oh. There's a person. He must be really out of it, if he hadn't noticed that. His eyes widen to saucers.

He does manage to turn his head, eyes sliding across the open, lazy v of a yukata and catching on the sharp planes of a broad chest. This person is hovering over him, brows furrowed, and Watanuki has trouble gauging the unfamiliar face. Whoever this is, they don't seem too happy. ]

I'm sorry, I--

[ He tenses, tries to raise himself again, it doesn't work, he stumbles back against his elbows. Tries to put space between himself an a stranger. He'd muster up more of a reaction, but his head is swimming. ] --I don't know how I got here. I think I need to leave...

[ A lie, he isn't sure what he needs to do, only he can't stay in some unknown person's house, he needs to get back to his apartment. ]
