[Immediately linefacing so hard because that doesn't sound good.]

[She quirks an eyebrow at that and sidles closer. For a moment she's quiet, which in itself is odd because she started this, and then Russia decides that it's best to just blurt it out. So she does.]

I'm pregnant.

[Estonia blinks stupidly at her for a moment, his face showing clear bewilderment before he can appear stoic again. That doesn't last long, though, because by the time he can respond verbally, he's also flailing his hands in distress.]

Are you-- is it-- Does that even make biological sense? [Since he is pretty sure the other female nations he knows cannot have been celibate or on effective birth control for hundreds of years. Not that he's asked, mind you. That's just speculation.]

How am I supposed to know? It's not like it's happened to me before.

[She huffs, arms crossing as she attempts to ignore his obviously distressed hand flailing.]

But Greece had a mother, da? And Egypt as well. So perhaps it is possible.

But that was ages ago, there's a difference. There's not exactly a lot of space unaccounted for these days. Except for, you know, space. [He may have just stopped thinking at this point, so whatever comes out is unfiltered, dangerous though that may be, considering his present company.]

And it's not as if there's a nation midwife kicking around to make suggestions on normal development. There hasn't been a proper baby of our kind in this region for hundreds of years and I'm quite doubting that human specialists will have even the first idea of what to expect and if neither do you... [...] Oh, boy.

Congratulations? [He offers it with the air of a man who is not sure if that will bring his doom or not.]

[She tips her head up as if to stare up into space, contemplating for a long moment.]

Could I even have a child that represents space itself? Or would it be a part of space, like a planet? Ah, perhaps not. But either way, that is why I will have you helping me, right?

[Russia tips her head to the side and gives him a frightfully cheerful smile. It fades rather quickly however, and she drops her gaze down to her stomach, hands falling to rest where her belly will swell with child within a few months span if all goes as human as possible.

If Estonia looks he can see the fear hidden in her eyes and the little downturn of her lips. She's scared of this. Scared of being a mother and the knowledge that this could, and possibly will, cause rife within the balance of the nations.]

[For a moment, he thinks about the representation of space, because that's easy. But it can't hold his attention too long and soon he's looking at her, at the unfamiliar expression on her face and the placement of her hands.]

Well... What are neighbours for, right?

[She keeps her sight downward for a moment before catching his gaze with hers and giving him a relieved smile.]

Thank you Estonia.

[He just nods, full of dread. The thought that she must be worrying just as much, more, even, over this appeases him somewhat, though.]

No one. I didn't really know who to tell, and I couldn't exactly tell my siblings...

[She sighs, shoulders drooping.]

They should know, Russia. It's going to be, well... obvious at some point and they're going to be hurt you weren't honest with them.

[And goodness knows her siblings do "hurt" in ways more dramatic and difficult to watch than most other nations could dream up. He'd rather not experience that, thanks. And the time has long since passed that he could just sit at home and look to the north and pretend everything south and west of him didn't exist.]

I know, I tried! But they're going to crazy when I tell them.

[She really should have just gotten it over with when she first found out, but she got scared of their reactions. Belarus was hard enough to deal with on a normal basis, what's he going to be like now that she's pregnant? Oh dear.]
