HOW COULD YOU You don't understand how they could treat you like they have, do what they have done when you've done nothing but be good to them. 22. Leave where?

[Lucifer has taken her all over the world, then followed Michael wherever they've missed. She reaches out and tucks Michael's hair behind her ear, expecting to hear of distant mountaintops.]

[Traveling the planet had been wonderful - even though the Earth was crowded with humans everywhere they went but Michael really wanted to break free of everything. Michael rolls over onto her side to better look at her sister.]

This planet. Let's go find our own world and live on it.

But...you'd be leaving all of this--

[Surely Michael is mocking her. Lucifer watches her with a worried, suspicious frown and then leans forward to kiss her with a sharp little nip at the end.]

Don't tease.

[She takes notice of the frown and decides she doesn't like it. As the kiss ends Michael sits up fully and keeps her gaze locked on Lucifer.]

I'm not. I want to leave and I don't care about all of this. It was never ours to begin with. [Shifting now to brush hair away from Lucifer's face gently.] We could have a place all our own.

A place we could invite the others, sometime? [It's not as if the others stand a chance against Michael and Lucifer together, should they get out of hand.

A smile begins to tug at her lips.]

A place where I could get you to be as loud as I want?

Anytime we wanted. That is one of the purposes of having a home, to invite your siblings over, isn't it? [They could holiday get-togethers all the time on their world away from the humans that was filled with lush and safe from the human stains wilderness.

She smirks a little at that even as she leans down into Lucifer.]

You mean you can try. [Michael wasn't the loudest being in bed, though she was sure Lucifer had plenty of tricks to try.]

If at first you don't succeed, try try again. And again, and again....

[She loops her arms around Michael's bare waist, pulling her closer, kissing along her chest.]

Do you really mean it? You want to come away with me?

There will always be plenty of time to try again.

[And from the tone of her voice Michael really won't mind each and every attempt. Her fingers brush gently over Lucifer's collar bone.]

I do. Let's run away. [Saying it with those words make it sounds dangerous but exhilarating.]

[She arches up slightly, with a soft, content sound. She can't stop smiling.]

Say that again?

[Her hand dips lower over soft mounds as she leans down to whisper in Lucifer's ear.]

Run away with me.

[Lucifer's breath catches and suddenly she's holding Michael to her tight and she's laughing.

And crying, and humiliated about it but she can't stop.]

[One arm wraps around her sister's human frame while the other gently wipes away the tears without a word. She leans in to lightly cover Lucifer's face in soft kisses. No words are spoken but Michael is wrapping her Grace with her siblings as if reassuring Lucifer that she's not going anywhere.]

[She gratefully presses against Michael, Grace and flesh alike, legs wrapping around Michael's waist and wings brushing her sister's.]

You can't change your mind, you can't--

[A shudder rakes down her human back at the feel of wings touching and it causes her to hold the other even closer, fingers digging in tightly. As those legs wrap around her a hand begins to trail up one of those thighs.]

I won't. All I want is to be with you, to have a home where we can be completely happy. [It was something they would never have on Earth.]

[it's something she has longed to hear since the day she realized God hated them all. She's crying again, kissing her helplessly and rolling them over.]

I'll follow you anywhere.

[Michael is laughing happily as they roll even as she reaches up to wipe those tears away.]

How about to the end of the universe? [As far as they could get from God's little pet project.]

Anywhere! [Lying atop Michael, smiling at her, eyes bright with tears and surprise.] When did you decide--?

[A small shrug of her shoulders as she lightly trails her fingers over the bare skin of Lucifer's back.] When we were in Egypt. Seeing the pyramids again made me realize that nothing's ever really going to change here and the humans will merely continue on their destructive path.

Think of the things we could be doing, instead of watching the humans kill each other.

What would you like to do first? [They had traveled the world mostly on Michael's curiosity, she'd be willing to explore the universe for Lucifer's. Not to mention that her sister had wanted this for so long.]

I want to visit Jupiter. We could see the hurricane...it's been there for so long now. And the moon. I could lay you down in the dust [fingers walking over Michael's back] and we'd leave our mark there until the solar system dies.

[She laughs even as goosebumps rise and a chill goes down her back.] We have the rest of forever, there's no rush to get everything done right away. [A mischievous smile forms.] Though you have given me an intriguing thought.

[Delighted, pleading silently with her smile for Michael to tell her.]

We should leave our mark in every solar system. On every satellite and asteroid.

[Then whenever they visited one there would always be a sign of their love.]

Yes, [clinging to Michael from sheer excitement, stunned by the vastness of the idea--they know how large the universe is.] every planet with any land. We could even shape the clouds, or start storms in the gas giants.
