Summer watched as her father headed up the stairs, distracted when Leckie reached for her hand, fingers threading with hers. Her eyes lifted to his face and she smiled at him. "My pleasure," she murmured softly, truthfully. She was glad to know he'd be here, under this roof and with a doctor in case something happened. And once she heard her father's door click shut, she moved to kiss Leckie, pressing her lips to his without hesitation.

Her fingers of her free hand moved to comb through his hair, lovingly before she murmured, "Yeah, we better. You have to be exhausted." She figured he'd fall fast asleep but she wasn't sure she'd be able to sleep one wink.
