She watched him read the poem, wondering if something that powerful, that special would bring back some sort of memory but it didn't seem to have the same effect as the other letter had. And she felt a brief moment of disappointment but she didn't really get a chance to feel it before he spoke again, asking if he could ask her something bluntly. She nodded, watching his face as he pressed on.

Her expression faded from a bit of a smile into something more serious as he spoke seriously, asking what they were going to do, what she wanted to do about them. About their relationship. She hesitated for a moment, blinking at his words as she tried to consider what she wanted. "I..." What could she say without making him feel obligated or guilty? What could she say that wouldn't make him feel like he had to stay and try. He said he didn't want to lose her and she certainly didn't want to lose him. "I'm still in love with you," she said it helplessly, her voice soft, strained with emotion as she looked down at the letters in her hands. "I... I don't want you to feel like you have to try but... just thinking about losing you after I just got you back... I thought you were dead and my heart was broken." Her eyes lifted to meet with his, brimming with a few tears she refused to let fall. "But it'd be worse if I lost you now even if you don't remember me. I know that's a lot to take but..." She wanted to tell the truth.
