02. I WOULD KILL YOU The person who means so much to you has done something completely unforgivable and now it's time to make sure they know where they stand. You would kill them if you ever got the chance.
03. I LOVE YOU, BUT... A bittersweet love confession. You know you love this person more than anything, but you're not sure you can give them what they need.
04. I DON'T TRUST YOU No matter how you feel about this person, you really can't trust them anymore.
05. SACRIFICE You're going to sacrifice yourself, for the person you're talking with or for the good of all humanity. You want them to know the reasons and that there's no stopping you.

[She cuddles close. He's so much taller than her, and so bulky. She loves it, she feels safe in his arms. Even when the rest of the world is going to hell, she can cuddle up to him and be confident that not even nuclear war could separate them. The thought of dying on him, though... It fills her eyes with tears, and soon she's sobbing onto him.]

I don't want to leave you... I want to be with you always... Use my powers to help you bring the world together...

At least you had a choice at all, Kyuubey. One you regretted, yes, but still a choice.

[The reply comes smoothly, unnaturally calm. But there's a surprised irritation, carefully controlled and hidden away.]

Mm? Well, Kaname-san, that's a question that seems easy enough but actually requires more detail to answer honestly. [And then gently, her tone filling with concern:] Did something happen?

Ah, I, well, I suppose so. [ um ] I think I broke the law, Mami-san.

[She's so tiny in his arms and he can't help but want to shelter her from the world, from the fate that seems to be so inevitable and close. Russia presses a kiss to her head, tips up her face to wipe away her tears.]

I want to keep you here with me as well, love. You know I would try anything if I could have that.

[She closes her eyes while he wipes her face, enjoying the feeling of being taken care of. She opens them when he's done, and goes up on tiptoe to steal a kiss from his lips. She can taste the salt of her tears, but she doesn't care. She needs his touch, needs his love now more than ever.]

We'll fight fate together...tomorrow. Tonight... Tonight I just want to be with you.

Of course, I'm all yours.

[He gives her a little smile and returns the kiss. There's love in the way he holds her close, the way he brushes his lips against the corner of her mouth before stealing away another kiss.]

[ A slight, soft correction. ]

She is a girl, and she will be one of surpassing beauty and surpassing pain.

[ Neither are surprises. ]

She will be an outcast, certainly, but the rest of her life depends on your action. Whether you will accept her, or turn her away.

[ He presses a kiss to the swell of her belly, sweeping the runes away with one hand. And he murmurs a few inaudible words into her skin. ]

I will take my leave.

[She smiles back, the urge to cry long gone once she sees his smile. Whatever else happens, as long as she can keep seeing that smile, it's all okay. She kisses him back when he steals that kiss, opening her mouth and flicking her tongue over his lips. Tonight...tonight she wants everything, just because they can, because for tonight, fate can't stop them.]

Well, Merlin didn't have a clue who this blonde haired man was, but looking at him, Merlin had the distinct feeling that he looked like a bit of a prat.

So much for destiny, because Merlin had apparently forgotten all of it.

[The smile fades, her hand reaching out to take his though she did not hold tight.]

Thor...he wants me to say it is his. To protect it-- to protect her. To make up a story of how we came together while I was ill.

The All-Father wants us to wed before she is born. I haven't answered either of them. I was waiting--

[Her eyes search his face. Wanting him to forbid it. Wanting him to command her just this once and she would obey. Only this once.]

[Let's use the stairs as an excuse, because they just keep happening.

Yep, just walking along the streets with Masaru when he encounters some wild stairs and loses. Except this time he manages to bump his head a little extra hard going down.]

Ugh...

[Russia instantly deepens the kiss, arms pulling her closer if it was possible, and soothing a hand up her back. Fate has nothing on them tonight, and he hopes he can make her forget his lack of mortality, and the fact that soon enough fate will try to rip her from his grasp. For now he has her in his arms and nothing can take her away.]

Whoa, Tav! [Even being a little used to Tavros falling over things all the time... those gd stairs just keep happening! He's at the trolls side and shaking him lightly]

[She presses herself against him, moaning softly into his mouth. This is pure heaven right here, she doesn't need anything else. She trails her fingers up his cheeks and into his hair, playing with it gently as she surrenders her mouth to his deep kiss.]

[....] Ah....are you sure? That's rather- well, hard to imagine.

Not that Arthur was aware of that, having spent the better part of the day searching for him. He's just glad to see Merlin still alive (and once again randomly wandering around the forest, he'd have to ask him about that one later.)

"Merlin!" He dismounted his horse and jogged over, grinning with relief despite himself. He looked like he was in one piece, good, that meant he was in proper enough condition for a verbal thrashing. "I swear, you're making a habit of this. My time is valuable, I can't very well spend it all looking out for your sorry hide, you know." And then, more seriously, "Are you all right?"

[Why is someone shaking him, what- oh right, he fell down some stairs. He sits up, rubbing his head and blinking up at Masaru.]

Uhh... hello.

[She knows it's something she can't avoid forever. That would be hiding, burrowing into another coffin. She's learned by now that isn't the way to live.

The Queen's announcement had spread through the Gardens like wildfire. Finally, they would be allowed the opportunity to return home, and while some time ago this news would have filled Utena with joy, she is conflicted now, has gained connections she never thought she would. She had not thought of the day where she'd have to say goodbye. She had not thought of what she might say at all.

Careless. She'd been careless, had almost resigned herself to staying, and now...now she wasn't sure what she was meant to do. She's spent her time over the past few days primarily to herself, working up her nerve to speak to Mami, but today she finds herself at a familiar apartment building.

A moment later, and she's knocking on Mami's door.]
