It still took him another moment before enough clicked into place for him to think of her. His immediate reaction was to brush off that theory as preposterous, but then he pulled it right back in. Undesirable as it was, the more he thought about it, the more it seemed like the only option that made any modicum of sense. But why take Merlin's memory?

Arthur sped up their pace, feeling a fool but not regretting his actions. He could only hope he was wrong about this. He didn't know if Merlin remembered Morgana, but there was an easy way to find out.
