You know what day it is, don't you? Only the greatest day of the week, the year, possibly all time at least until 2014 rolls around. It's 4:20, my ghouls and boils. Stoner Christmas. The Highening. For 24 hours, you can smoke as much weed as you want, judgment free, and if that's not what you're doing, I feel bad for you son. But that's okay! Because now there's this meme, so you can smoke while you smoke, or while you don't smoke. Either way I heard you like weed.

Rules:
1. Post with your character's name and canon. Tag others.
2. They are now high. Or getting high. Somewhere in the process of smoking themselves the fuck up.
3. Need options? Uh. Kay. Well, are they rolling a joint, packing a bowl, or ripping a bong? MacGyvering up an apple pipe, hotboxing their Volvo, or just enjoying a contact high after a leisurely stroll through the park perhaps a little too close to that drum circle? They can do whatever, wherever, however, smoke it, toke it, bake it into brownies, suck it out of a soda bottle, pack, jack or just don't lack it, you're only limited by your imagination and your ability to make fire.

Buffy was at loose ends. She was cutting a class, but completely by accident (sartorial in nature), so she had nothing to do. It wasn't worth the trip home since she had another class in an hour, but the day was too perfect to just sit somewhere and pretend to study. So she wandered. Without realizing it, she was following her campus patrol route, but it was a far nicer place in the sunshine, so the wandering was worthwhile.

Down on one of the outlying campus lawns, she spied a noticeably large group lounging in the grass; some had blankets and others were leaning on packs or satchels. What called her attention, though, was a girl sitting just off to one side of the circle. The girl was close enough to be part of whatever activity the group was up to, but she didn't seem to be so much a part of the fun.

Since Buffy was already too-late-to-slip-in-the-back of Astronomy (what? the stars were important, or so Giles had told her), and none of her friends were about and she was... nosy, she strolled up to the girl, sat beside her, and inserted herself into the girl's life. And Xander had questioned her ability to reach out to people. Ha! She was Buffy Summers, friend of the people! See? Here she was, being all friendly-like!

"So whatcha doing?" She glanced toward the group, tipping her head to one side. Mostly a male crowd in various shades of adorableness. They all had that cute slacker thing going on that had affected Buffy once, Way Back, so she could see the appeal for the pretty blonde off-to-the-side girl. "Waiting on your boyfriend or something?"

The hit's a deep one, making the backs of his eyes burn, his lungs catch fire, and he makes sure to hold in the smoke long after his lips leave the neck of vase and he passes it over to Meulin, blank stare not following his clothed hands as they move. There's no rush yet, but that heat in him is always enough in the beginning, lids going low when he finally sits back, hand moving up to tighten the thick, black thread woven through his lips. He had only kept it loosened enough to suck in the smoke through his lips, not nearly enough to speak if he had even wanted to, not that he has for a real long time.

Kurloz feels a pressure build in his chest, the smoke starting to claw at his insides and slither up through his throat again like abyssal serpents. The smoke eases out between stitches, only to be breathed in quickly through his nose again, held in a little longer, and blown out his nostrils finally. Yeah, that burn, it's fucking beautiful, happy to share it with such a close fucking sister too, as always. Indigo clown's got a lot of clothes pires to put up, a lot of stakes to pound down, but he can stand a few small gatherings here and there.

[ it doesn't really feel right, after all the shit with vertigo, to actually give in to an old habit but tommy could be considered an old habit too. he guilts himself into it initially, lets tommy do the leg work of getting the stuff and they hole up in his old bedroom because... well, honestly, why not. no one's home, no one would interrupt them anyway and it's easy to get lost in a big house. an on hand chef was a really nice perk, too.

ollie rolls tight, packed joints while tommy packs a bong that has not seen the light of day in literally years and they make a competition of who can get high first-- both claiming their method is better. as with a scant few times in their past, though, once the mellow sits in oliver gets bold, sucks long on his joint til it almost burns too rough and reaches for tommy's face, forcibly drawing him close and pressing their mouths together, tongue pressing past his lips so he could exhale, share the smoke between them. a few tendrils escape, curling over tommy's cheek, up his own nose and he doesn't mind. frankly, this is the most relaxed he's felt in literally years. ]
