[ There's a pipa playing in the background, and the Gaang has been celebrating the festivities commemorating the Fire Nation's occupying military leaving certain territories quite some time! But one person hasn't really been dancing much or doing much and that's lazy-ass Fire Lord Zuko. And since she had danced with just about EVERYONE in the gaang several times that evening, Katara decides to approach him. ]

Hey! Everything okay?

[angryboy]

[LAZY-ASS FIRE LORD ZUKO is actually exhausted, stressed-out Fire Lord Zuko. That's not to say he's been a grumpy little mcgrumpgrump. He's been watching everyone having fun and it's enough to ease his mind for the moment, but he doesn't have the energy to take part in... the partying.

He drank a lot of punch and went to go to the bathroom quite a few times. That's been his eventful night so far.

He sees Katara heading his way far before she speaks up, and he frantically glances around to make himself look busy. He picks up a plate with a fruit tart on it and stiffly holds it in front of him.]

Yeah! Everything's great. I was just -- [He extends the plate, offering the pastry...] Fruit tart?

[intotheseas]

[ Katara shakes her head and holds her hands up in a gesture of refusal. ] No, I'm okay! I think I'm full for the night. [ She then folds her hands tightly in front of her, smiling expectantly. ]

Sooo. Not...liking the music?

[angryboy]

[Okay... so she doesn't want a fruit tart. Neither does he. He retracts both his arms and the plate, holding it close to his abdomen as he bites back a disappointed frown. Though, he can't be quite sure why he feels disappointed. He's still getting used to this socializing thing.]

The music's just fine. [He looks out into the crowd to emphasize his point, since everyone seems to be enjoying what's been provided for them. What was she trying to get at?]

[ Her smile falls just a bit, and she can't help but worry. Katara is awful at listening to "Everything's great/fine" and taking it at face value, so she bites her lip through her smile, glancing away. ]

It is! It's really nice. [ Oh, was this going to be awkward? He had saved her life, really... she felt their friendship really deepen that day, but Zuko had been so busy in general lately (and she was sort of honeymooning with Aang) that she hadn't talked to him as often as she wanted to. Though it wasn't in his nature to really be very social, it still made her feel weird to see him sitting alone while everyone else was dancing and having a good time. ]

Almost makes you want to dance, right?
