[ This, though perhaps not much more than this. And not usually. Which doesn't mean that she isn't enjoying herself as well, opening up under his lips. ]

[Ata girl. Clint only ends the kiss when it goes on a little longer than is really decent for public company. He smiles at her.]

If we were somewhere more private..

[He trails off suggestively.]

[ Her answering smile is small, but undeniably there. ]

Concentrate on the mission, Barton.

[instinctiveshooter]

Only if I can continue this later.

[He counters, taking every advantage of the public setting.]

I can see our problem, he's hovering over there near the male toilets.

If the mission's successful and after the paperwork's done.

[ That's just professional, okay. ]

Maybe you should go have a chat with him.

[instinctiveshooter]

Deal. I'll have that paperwork done in record time.

[Rather than taking days to turn out even a thousand words for her.

He steps back. Business will always come first.]

Maybe I should.

[Clint undoes his top bottom and loosens his tie and walks towards the men's room, like a man who is in need of male space. His draws level with the guy and with a low word draws him into the men's room.

Five minutes later he walks out alone with a small micro chip in his jacket pocket and goes to grab a cold coke, knowing Phil will come and find him.]

[theagent]

[ She does find him, barely a minute later; stopping by his side with two glasses of champagne in hand. Appearances. ]

I should have known that would motivate you. Mission accomplished?

[instinctiveshooter]

[If he was a lesser agent, Clint would have gulped the champagne down and reached for a few more now that he had the information that they had come for. However, he never fully relaxes until he hits his bed at home so he contents himself with a couple of sips.]

Mission accomplished. The guy will wake up in half an hour. And [Clint leans into murmur,] He let name slip.

[theagent]

[ She clinks her glass against his in acknowledgment, hardly brinking more than he does. They may have achieved their objective, but the op is still running. ]

Good. Let's get out of here.

[instinctiveshooter]

[Clint sets their glasses down and kisses her fingers before taking her hand to lead her out.]

Next time we need to find a party that doesn't requite tuxes

[ She's a trained SHIELD agent, one of the best. Her heart does not beat faster at the gesture. It doesn't. ]

You look good in one, though.

[instinctiveshooter]

[Don't worry Phil, Clint is no where near done with his plans to seduce you.]

Not as good as you look in a dress. You are mesmerizing.

[theagent]

[ She's rolling her eyes, because she's spent most of her life convincing men of the armed forces and then SHIELD agents that they shouldn't see her as a woman but as a fellow soldier, a fellow agent. Stepping outside of that mindset and into a more feminine one is strange, to say the least. ]

Thanks. But don't lay it on too thick, Barton.

[instinctiveshooter]

I'll be laying it on too thick when I start talking in a lot of flowery language.

[He shoots her a smile. Some of it is play but underneath it all, there is genuine interest in her as a female no matter how misplaced it is. It never affects his work as he trusts her in the field and doesn't waste time on a mission appreciating how she looks. When he is allowed to look, like this mission it's an entirely different matter and it's been hard to take his eyes off her.]

Seriously Phil, you are really good looking.

[theagent]

Please don't. [ Her face, very briefly, betrays what she thinks of overly flowery language. She's really not the type.

The expression fades quickly, though, and she smiles back, if a little— embarrassed, almost, because she isn't used to this. ] Thank you.
