Your facial hair, the cut of the shave, shows the sort of brand you use. You don't waste your money on something expensive, you spend it on other things; gadgets and the like. Some of them are older, damaged, though you've repaired them with more modern equipment. Ergo, they're not yours. You have a decent amount of money, but it doesn't come from you. Which means you don't have a lot to spend on extravagance, including your own equipment, which means that you won't have a lot to spend on a suit that you can't possibly need outside of me wanting you to do something interesting while I'm bored.
