"Mm-hm," he hummed softly against her lips, grinning as she finally, finally pulled away and started making her way down the hall, watching until she'd disappeared before he slipped back into the room, shutting the door as silently as he could. He re-made the bed with fresh sheets in no time, finally stripping back out of his boxers and sliding between the sheets to fall asleep almost instantly this time, the noise in his head having been quieted by the warm, buzzing feeling she'd left him with for the rest of the night.
