"I think once is enough," she said with a bit of a smile, leaning in to capture his lips for another kiss, nuzzling them for a moment. She was absolutely proud of him, it wasn't the glory of being with a war veteran but the glory of being with him, so humble a man, so wonderful a man that made her proud. And she was proud of her neighbors for recognizing him even if for only a moment. It was deserved. Because he'd given up something precious to keep them all safe, their lives, which was his memories of the lives he was protecting. "I'd rather you stay here with me, thank-you-very-much."
However when he didn't tell her what he was going to give her, she pouted at him, predictably. Though it faded when he asked her to dance and was quickly replaced by a rather large smile and a flush. "Yes, yes I would."
