[ something about how he said that, she believed him. and relief in its smallest dose was felt, slowly soothed over her open wounds to lessen the pain.

she smiled still even as she closed her eyes, giving a small laugh (but she's still crying, because the pain is still there no matter how much she wants it to go away now that he's here) in response as their foreheads touched. her hands came to gently touch his, small fingers grasping around the sides of his hands to give a small squeeze—a thank you, a reassurance that she'd be okay, even if she wasn't now.]

I'm sorry. [ she whispered, him being so close there was no need for otherwise and at those words slipping from her mouth, she still continued to cry despite his attempts to wipe the tears away. she'd kept so much from him and now here she was throwing herself at him in hopes he'd still accept her with open arms. and even as he did, even as he promised her things no one could promise (and she believes him), she still had to say it.] I'm so sorry.

[He looks to the other, brow furrowed in concern at such a thing coming from the other cat's mouth.]

[Asato's expression softens slightly, then, tilting his head just a bit.]

Do you want to go back...?

[Part of Asato hopes that no, no he doesn't and that he can keep his "friend" for a longer time to come. The other side of him, however, hopes that Chesire will be honest with him because of course he doesn't want to stay here. Why would anyone want to stay here? If Asato could leave, he would—

—but he can't and this isn't about him. He bites his lip before blurting out:]

I'll help you, if you do. If that's what you want, I'll help you in any way I can.

[He seems honestly surprised by the question, and almost hurt, past the smile.]

I couldn't live there, anymore. And I definitely can't now, not when I've betrayed everyone who was ever on my side.

[But it doesn't make sense, Asato's willingness to help. Nobody could be that good at heart, not enough to assist someone they don't even really know, when that cat had just freely admitted to serious betrayal.]

...Why would you even offer, Asato? It doesn't make sense. No matter what you say, I'm not worth that.

[Then something occurs to Cheshire, and he tilts his head to mirror the angle of Asato's.]

If you want me to take you there, I can do it. They would probably make you the new Cheshire Cat, but you wouldn't be blamed for what I'd done. Nobody would care about your ears and tail; the color doesn't matter to them.

I don't want to go back, but I could send you there. It wouldn't be too hard. Wonderland is designed to keep people in, but there's nothing to keep people out. Simple and easy as a few words, really. I can definitely do it, if that's what you want.

[Sherlock sighs, brushing some hair from his face. Now she was the one being dense. And purposely, in his opinion. He's asking her to go, if that's what she wants so badly.]

[ To be honest, Amy enjoys that the tables have been turned slightly. She knows what he's trying to say, but it's easy and amusing to force him to elaborate. He's almost as bad as her when it comes down to it. ]

It's kind of embarrassing how much safer she feels in Loki's presence - perhaps a tell how comfortable she's become with him. It wasn't that he didn't want Merlin back alive, but he couldn't figure why he hadn't been killed, or just left to his own devices intact.

"She may have dragged you out here knowing I would leave Camelot to look for you. That's what worries me the most."

"I thought you were meant to be a King," Merlin said, half scoffing. "Don't you have Knights that you could have sent after me?"

He didn't say anything to that, for a moment. Then he scoffed as well.

"You really don't remember me at all. But if that's how you feel about it, maybe I just won't rescue you next time."

[She keeps her sight downward for a moment before catching his gaze with hers and giving him a relieved smile.]
