Ezio's smile is slow and lazy, warmed from the wine and from the night surrounding them. He turns his head gradually, feels the lips against his ear shift to his cheek as he murmurs back to him slowly. "I might over your feet, but I would like that, yes."

He lets out a laugh, soft and lingering as he shifts against the other, tries to ready himself for some semblance of a dance.

Her right hand goes to his shoulder, almost hesitant in her touch, as the left settles in his hand. The feel of his hand at her waist is familiar yet foreign, the formality of the touch, the layers between them strange.

As they start their steps, her breath catches, trying to remember what to do, how exactly to follow Ezio so they don't collide. Caught in thought, she steps forward as he does, and they collide, a laugh rising as they fall back into rhythm. "Told you."

He guides her slowly through the steps, bringing them to the side of the dance floor, not quite off of it, but a bit out of the way so he can straighten her steps out. Goodness.

He laughs a bit now as he spins her around once in time with the music, pulling her close. "I would invite you to step on my feet like a daughter does to her father to dance with him, but your shoes might hurt."

"No worries, haha. I'll catch you if you do." Takeshi's laughter is soft, nuzzled to sharp line of his cheek, punctuated on the corner of Ezio's lips.

He tugs him away from the ledge, just a few steps, and molds himself once more to Ezio's back, circles his arms around his waist. They don't have any music to speak of, but that doesn't stop Takeshi. He presses a cheek to Ezio's temple and starts to sway, a little more pronounced in the movements, encouraging Ezio's body to follow as he hums some soft, slow tune under his breath.

It's easier to follow his movements as the waltz continues, and she lets out an almost giddy laugh as they execute the spin without any problems. The feeling is fun and light, and she relaxes in his hold as she gets the hang of the steps. "I had to try to get to be taller somehow."

Once she gets a little closer, Shepard's 'I didn't expect to see you here' is expressed in a simple but intrigued tilt of her her head. Out loud, just a simple greeting:] Samara.

{Oh look, it's Shepard, casually leaning against a table beside Legion and glancing from the geth out to the gala at hand. She genuinely doubts that Legion could glean much besides what it looks like when a turian has two left feet, but it's worth asking.]

She's getting the hang of it though, and Ezio has to guide her less and less. It makes him a little proud as he slowly brings her back, a little further into the dancing gowns and suits. Not too far in, but just so she can see how they fit into the puzzle of the people keeping to themselves, their units of two, spins timed slowly, as if moving as one body. "You have it, see?"
