[It's a warm day with the softest of breezes as Ezio, yet again, refuses to use the door, sliding into the breezy Air District apartment with easy. The large windows help keep his motions fluid as he practically steps down from the sill and into the living room. His steps slow, he nears Darcy, slipping an arm around her waist and coming in from the side to toss her a light smile.

He notes that there's a soft music coming from the kitchen as he does so. It's a simple tune, something slow and warm that makes him gradually pull her against him.]

[ it's warm against fandral's chest. dinner and a dance lesson, that'd been the plan, to show her a bit of the classier side of life. but just having their hands on each other meant the appropriate box of space for a waltz had diminished, slowly disappearing until there was none. with her head against his chest, his pulse is music all on its own, and she hums softly along with the song, content to shift a bit closer to him and nuzzle gently. ]

This is, one assumes, how they ended up dancing -- her hands are very hesitant and she lets him guide, but it's rather nice, really.]

[ there are a surprising amount of chores to do to upkeep a mistress apartment, and so she's put on music in the background as she puts everything back in its place, soft and airy to match the warm day. the diaphanous curtains help hide ezio until he is by her side, his hand around her waist. she returns his smile with one of her own, the combination of the music and the easy peacefulness of the day setting her mood as she lets him pull her to him. ]

I had a feeling you'd turn up today.

I'll try. [He cracks a half-smile, though he's still mostly distracted, going over details of the job in his head. Her mention of the demon in question jars him again, and Sam only chances a quick glance toward him before turning back to Ruby.]

Yeah. That's him.

[So, he's just eying the guy now, waiting for the right moment...]

[ he can't help the way his heart hitches at the affectionate gesture. for all he's seen, the women he's conquered, he's still a boy with matters of the heart and it helped that darcy was a particularly engaging mortal. he could dance with her like this for hours if she'd let him. he'd hold her and marvel at how tiny she is and how that's charming too, in its own right.

he turns to press a lingering kiss there to the crown of her head, fingers splaying wide against the curve of her back. is that too bold? is there such a thing as too bold for fandral? ]

He decides to surprise her with the next move, keeping the steady pattern before leaning in slowly, bringing her down as well over his arm in a small loop. Not quite waltz material, but the swing is exhilarating as he moves back into the more reserved steps, a grin picking up at his lips as he hums softly with the music.

Oh don't worry, the pegging won't be in public, and definitely not on a dance floor. [ keeping up with him conversation-wise? no problem. steps-wise? maybe, since while he's more graceful than one might expect, she's not used to heels, much less dancing like this in them, and wobbles a bit as he pulls her out of the spin. ] And dinner or not, I don't think you'd be complaining much. [ humility is totally one of her strong points too. ]

I think we've earned this.

jeyne can't remember when she last danced, and it was never like this. she can't help but look distracted as she watches them across the floor with their long gowns and tunics--the glistening lights and the flowing hair. it hardly seems like a place fit for someone like her, and yet here she is.

she looks away and simply smiles at him, part of her wanting to ask..

could we? there is so much to worry over but could we not forget for a while?]

[ if he'd told her his feelings on how small she was, she'd probably have to roll her eyes and push at him lightly with a quip about how size doesn't matter, so it's better that they're silent, so that she can enjoy how he envelops her gently, enjoy these quiet moments, so different from their normal flirting. he's like no guy she's ever met before, which may have to do with the fact that he's a god, but possibly more that he treats her like something precious. it's new to her, and she breathes it in, loving it.

the kiss sends shimmers of sensation down her spine, balanced by the feeling of his hand at her back, his hand warm and broad through her shirt. she'll never mind the boldness, as she'll meet it head-on with boldness of her own as she tilts her head up to press slow kisses along his jawline. ]
